Kendal Luker is one of those volunteers that gives 100% to whatever she does. She has helped build OATH fundraisers, organize a Fun Walk on Brookside, organized our first Biker Ride from Tulsa to OKC, contacted business sponsors, led our Tulsa volunteer team and even showed up to a photo shoot to be a model as seen in the photo to the right.
Kendal is married to a great guy (Cody), has children (yes she is a soccer mom), has friends and family and works full time as a probation and parole officer over a large case load of male sex offenders… yet she still gives 100% when she commits to help OATH! Even when it means driving across the state to be at our big events!
Krista Bates was invited to one of our Awareness meetings by a friend that she goes to church with. When she learned about the issue she got involved telling others. She met with friends and organized a home awareness party and then also organized our first Golf Tournament benefit fundraiser with the help of her friends. Krista is another busy person with family, friends, church and commitments, yet she still gave loads of time for a couple of years helping OATH get the word out and made sure to duplicate herself so that when she moved on to other volunteer commitments she had people in place to carry on what she started for us! _________________________________________________________________________________________________
Laura Sheppard is one in a million! We met while she was still in school and wondering what she could do to help as a student. She got busy helping with data entry, organizing coffee shop awareness events and helping other volunteers with OATH. Last Christmas she had women from her church (LifeChurch.tv) bring personal items for our shelter.
Laura is still in college full time, works full time and volunteers with OATH. She has organized small and large events, helped at OATH booths, did a model shoot for us, donated personal time and money! She helps our other volunteers, gets her friends involved, does what she says she will do and that is awesome! Volunteers like Laura make OATH look good!
